• The International Real Estate Conference LEARN TO SUCCEED 2019 was organised on April 15-18, 2019 in the Palace of Serbia, in the ZIRA Hotel and at the Belgrade Fair within the Belgrade Building Trade Fair.

      The opening speech at the conference was given by Vesna Kovač, State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia, who informed the participants about the results achieved by the implementation of the Real Estate Brokerage Law since its passing in 2013, as well as about the fight against the shadow economy in this field. On behalf of the Real Estate Cluster Association, Nenad Đorđević, the Chairman of the Board, welcomed the participants and wished them successful work. Damir Borić, the President of the Group of Real Estate Brokers in the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spoke about the activities of the Group. In addition to them, the participants of the Conference were addressed by John Smaby, President of the National Association of Realtors (USA), Arsen Unanjan, President of the Russian Guild of Realtors (RF), Heather Ozur, Chairman of the Women's Council of Realtors (USA) and Predrag Tešić, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Broker Association of the Republic of Srpska.

      The summit of the representatives of eleven Real Estate Brokerage Associations of Central and Eastern Europe and John Smaby, the President of the National Association of Realtors (USA), was held during the Conference.

      After the opening of the Conference, the panel on greater role of women in real estate was moderated by Alicia Matson, the President of the Women's Council of Realtors Orlando Regional (USA), and the speakers were Radmila Stanković, the President of the Women's Council of the Real Estate Cluster, Branislava Simanić, Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Heather Ozur, the President of the Women's Council of Realtors (USA) and Pamela Banks, Vice President of the Women's Council of Realtors (USA).

      During the second day of the Conference held at the ZIRA Hotel, Zola Szerencses, NAR Regional Coordinator for Central and Eastern Europe spoke about teamwork of the brokers and about business planning in the company; Jeffrey Foo of the Real Estate Brokers Institute of Singapore spoke about the sale of luxury real estate; and John Mayfield, NAR Ambassador for Serbia, Bulgaria and Greece, spoke about the use of latest technology to increase profits.

      The panel on Blockchain technology was moderated by Sharon Gorell, Director of the Global Business Committee of Illinois Association of Realtors, and the speakers were Ivan Bjelajac, the President of the Serbian Blockchain Initiative, and Andrew Govasak, co-founder and Managing Director of "Trust Stamp".

      The panel on leading real estate associations on the global and regional markets was moderated by Dr. Slaviša Pešić, Vice President of the Expert Council of the Real Estate Cluster, and the speakers were Joe Schneider, NAR Director of Global Business and Alliances, Arsen Unanjan, the President of RGR, Donna Phillips Wilson, MOR Director of Global Business Committee, and Michael Gober, the President of Chicago MOR. Alicia Matson spoke about the best lessons in real estate sales, and Michael Cobb, the President of "ECI Development" (USA), gave a lecture on real estate sales on the international market and on the implementation of the world's best practice in real estate sales. The panel dedicated to those who wish to become international real estate appraisers and RICS members was moderated by Msc. Milić Đoković, the President of the Serbian Association of Independent Real Estate Court Experts and Appraisers, and the speakers were Nabojša Nešovanović, representative of the Serbian Society of Real Estate Appraisers and Charles Golding, Assistant Director for the value appraisal of tangible assets of RICS. A panel on economic residence in the Republic of Serbia was moderated by Miroslav Cvetković, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Real Estate Cluster, and the speakers were Nenad Đorđević, Milan Dobrosavljević, Foreign Investment Consultant, Eric Tran, Partner at UCC (USA) and Boris Pizolito from "Opisas" (USA).

      On the third day of the Confertence held in the Hall 4 of the Belgrade Fair, the panel on the implementation of the Real Estate Brokerage Law and the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism was held. The moderator of this panel was Damir Borić, the President of the Group of Real Estate Brokers in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, and the speakers were Danijela Tanić-Zafirović, Ministry of Finance, Head of the Supervision Group of the Money Laundering Prevention Administration, Mirjana Veljović, Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Head of Department in the State Market Inspection Sector, and Goran Lukić, representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia (SBPOK). Msc. Saša Stefanović held a lecture on keeping records pursuant to the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism - Risk Assessment.

      The panel on marketing and promotion on social networks was moderated Ervin Pašanović,the President of the Supervisory Board of the Real Estate Cluster, and the speakers were Dario Žgela of "Dimedia internet tehnologije" (Croatia), Haris Kadić of "Rental nekretnine" (BiH), Mirko Hladni, advertising expert, and Dušica Gaković of "Deka inženjering". Dejan Vučinić, Executive Director of the Network Directorate of "Societe Generale banka" AD gave a lecture on financing real estate purchase.

      A panel on real estate appraisal was moderated by Msc. Milić Đoković, and the speakers were Nebojša Nešovanović from the Serbian Association of Real Estate Appraisers and Dobrivoje Petrović from the Association of Independent Court Experts and Real Estate Appraisers. Slavko Bogdanović gave a lecture on the planning of working hours of real estate agents, and Sanja Radovanović, representative of IAHSP Europe (Italy), held a lecture on "Home Staging".

      The panel on registration of real estate property rights - practice of the RGZ (Republic Geodetic Authority), news and regulations was moderated by Branislav Petrović, representative of the Real Estate Cluster, and the speakers were Saša Ivanišević, representative of the Belgrade Bar Association, Nebojša Rapaić, member of the Board of Real Estate Cluster, and Maja Radović, representative of the RGZ (Republic Geodetic Authority).

      A C-RETS course was held during the Conference. The lecturer in this course was Zola Szerencses.

      A Gala dinner for the participants, speakers and guests of the conference was organised at the White Palace in Belgrade.
